Paws Up is a nationwide initiative designed to raise awareness about the importance of preventive pet healthcare and to protect families and communities from the spread of preventable diseases. The campaign brings together on-the-ground action, community engagement, storytelling, and expanded access to essential care, especially for working families and underserved neighborhoods where access is often limited.
Without these preventive services, pets remain vulnerable to illnesses such as rabies, parvovirus, and distemper, diseases that can spread through contact with infected animals and carry serious consequences for families, communities, and public health.
Launching in Los Angeles, California, Paws Up aims to help 500,000 pets receive essential preventive care within 100 days. From there, the campaign will expand to cities across America, building a national movement for healthier pets and safer communities.
Our mission is simple and measurable: $30 provides essential preventive care for one pet. Every contribution delivers tangible impact, protecting animals, preventing disease, and strengthening the bond between pets and the people who love them.
You can:
- Donate through our secure platform.
- Volunteer at local vaccination events.

To create a healthier, safer future for pets and people by:
- Providing free or low-cost essential medication to families and shelters.
- Educating the public about preventable diseases and the connection between pet health and public health.
- Supporting shelters and clinics with medical supplies, logistics, and outreach tools.
- Building a storytelling platform that inspires empathy, unity, and action.
The Paws Up Campaign, part of the MFI Pet Health Initiative in collaboration with A New Era America (ANEA), launches its national movement in Los Angeles, California, a region home to one of the largest pet populations in the country and an urgent need for accessible preventive pet healthcare.
This kickoff marks the start of a nationwide effort to expand access to essential medicine, protect animals, and strengthen communities through education, advocacy, and on-the-ground action.
The LA Launch begins with a series of community events, essential care clinics, and public awareness activations, culminating in the “500,000 Pets in 100 Days” Challenge. This bold initiative demonstrates how collective action can prevent suffering, reduce overcrowding in shelters, and improve community health.
Through partnerships with local organizations, shelters, veterinary clinics, and corporate sponsors, the LA Launch will help provide essential preventive treatment to pets in working-family and underserved neighborhoods, while sharing stories of health, hope, and compassion that will inspire cities across the nation to join the movement.
Los Angeles leads the charge, demonstrating how collaboration and compassion can transform pet health nationwide, showing what is possible when storytelling, advocacy, and community come together to protect pets and families.
At the heart of the Paws Up campaign is The Pawtners, a growing ensemble of pet ambassadors and real-life stories that represent the power of essential medication, care, and community.
The Pawtners symbolize pets and families across the country, those already protected and those still waiting for care, each one embodying a story of health, hope, and togetherness.
As Paws Up grows, new “pet leaders” will join The Pawtners, representing diverse voices, backgrounds, and experiences that connect to the campaign’s message of health, unity, and compassion.
Stories of Health, Hope & Community — Because Protecting Pets Means Protecting Families.
The Pawtners are the faces and stories of families, shelters, vets, and individuals who are committed to and understand the importance of access to preventive pet healthcare for all.
Paws Up Pawtners share their experiences across digital, television, film, and creative platforms, celebrating compassion, inclusion, and the belief that every healthy pet helps build a healthier world.
Providing essential preventive care to pets isn’t just about animals — it’s about community health. Pets who lack access to crucial medicine are more vulnerable to illnesses such as rabies, parvovirus, and distemper, diseases that can spread through contact with infected animals and pose risks to both pets and people.
By supporting Paws Up, donors and action-sponsors help:
- Protect pets and families from preventable illness by ensuring more animals receive the essential care they need.
- Reduce shelter overcrowding and euthanasia rates by helping pets stay healthier and in their homes.
- Strengthen community health infrastructure through expanded access to preventive pet healthcare.
- Create long-term awareness through educational storytelling, creative media outreach, and community advocacy.
- Community Essential-Care Clinics – Free and low-cost clinics hosted across Los Angeles and partnering cities, providing pets with access to essential medicine and preventive treatment.
- Public Education & Storytelling – Short films, social content, and creative events that share the stories of pets, families, and communities benefiting from essential preventive care.
- Partnerships with Shelters & Sponsors – Collaborating with shelters, veterinary providers, civic groups, and corporate sponsors to deliver measurable impact and expand access to essential services.
- Digital Engagement – Easy-to-use donor platforms, QR codes, and mobile tools that make supporting and participating in the movement simple and accessible for everyone.
The Pet Health Presidential Campaign is a creative, nationwide initiative designed to make preventive pet healthcare engaging, inclusive, and fun. Developed as an extension of the Paws Up Campaign, it turns advocacy into entertainment, using humor, storytelling, and pop-culture appeal to mobilize pet owners, shelters, and communities around one shared goal: protecting pets to protect families.
By blending creative media with real-world outreach, the campaign builds on the same mission that powers Paws Up: expanding access to essential preventive care in underserved communities, educating the public about preventable illnesses, and inspiring compassion through storytelling.
Modeled after an election campaign, the Pet Health Presidential Campaign introduces a playful lineup of “candidates” — beloved pets, ambassadors, and mascots — each representing a unique message about wellness, essential care, shelter support, and prevention. Through vivid poster-style imagery, digital content, and community events, these “pet leaders” bring humor and heart to a serious issue.
Interactive social-media features and campaign-trail activations invite families and pet lovers across the country to “Vote for Pet Health,” turning awareness into engagement. Whether online or on the ground, the campaign empowers people to take action, share stories, and champion animal wellness as a public health priority.
The campaign’s purpose goes beyond outreach; it is about transforming education into entertainment, amplifying diverse voices, and creating measurable impact through participation and advocacy. It bridges local shelters, families, and national organizations, ensuring that Paws Up’s mission is not just seen, but felt in every community it reaches.
At the heart of both the Paws Up Campaign and the Pet Health Presidential Campaign are The Pawtners — the pets, families, shelters, and community leaders whose stories reflect the power of essential care, compassion, and connection.
